Karatantcheva's 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Czech Iveta Benesova is her best result since returning to the tour in 2008 after serving a two-year ban for testing positive for the steroid Nandrolone.

Baghdatis tennis comeback stallsBRISBANE, Australia (AFP) – Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis's comeback stalled in the first round of the Brisbane International as he bowed out to Finland's Jarkko Nieminen on Monday.

Spain's Pau Gasol added 19 points for the Lakers, who captured their 15th consecutive win at home.
